Actualización de antecedentes técnicos y económicos para proyecto de línea de interconexión
The study revealed that options 1, 2 and 3 meet expected power transfer levels together with certain system upgrades. Option 4 does not meet the expected power transfer level of 2250 MW. However, this limitation is caused by too high power transfer (2250 MW) which cannot be sustained by SING and SIC systems in year 2021. Once the system is developed adequately in future, option 4 presents potential interconnection expansion option to increase power transfer capability between SING and SIC systems.
In conclusion, a series compensated 500 kV double circuit HVAC lines (i.e. option 1) provide a suitable initial interconnection option. A parallel HVDC mono‐pole with the provision to upgrade to a bi‐pole (option 4) will provide suitable interconnection expansion option to increase power transfer when SIC and SING systems can sustain power transfers beyond 1500 MW.
